Supporting Initiatives to Improve the Game of Golf
SafeGolf is a partnership of UK golf bodies committed to promoting a safe and positive environment for all those participating, working and volunteering in the sport of golf. SafeGolf consists of members from the golfing bodies across Great Britain & Ireland and has been established to help golf respond to the issue of child protection in sport. Its mission is to safeguard the welfare of children and young people, as well as adults at risk, in the sport of golf. Doncaster Golf Club is proud to have received the SafeGolf Accreditation and is committed to its aspirations. Our SafeGolf arrangements can be viewed by using the links below.
R & A Women In Golf
Over a hundred years of Ladies golf at Doncaster Golf Club
We are delighted to have signed up to be part of the R&A’s ‘Women in Golf’ Charter introduced by the R&A in May 2018. We are committed to creating and maintaining a more inclusive environment for women who want to join, play, volunteer and work at the Club. Our Golf Club is a place we want members and visitors to feel welcome, regardless of age or gender. The aim of the Charter is to develop a range of initiatives designed to encourage and inspire women and families to take part in golf activities. With this in mind, we are committed to launching a new programme to ensure that women and girls’ participation and development sits firmly within the club’s strategic plan. Details of this programme can be viewed by clicking on the link below.
